Pura Luxe Protein Smoothing Treatment is non-toxic, natural, keratin, sulphate and formaldehyde-free formulation that promises to eliminate or significantly reduce frizz while delivering straighter, smoother and stronger hair. Formulated with natural proteins and essential oils, the protein contained in the Pura Luxe treatment penetrates through to the hair’s cortex while the essential fatty oils wrap and protect the hair from day-to-day elements that our hair endures.

Pura Luxa’s patented, revolutionary formulations contain six types of amino acids that straighten the hair by transforming the internal textural memory of the hair. The presence of the amino acids in this smoothing treatment creates hair that is rich in Keratin, making it smooth and shiny while improving the condition of the hair with prolonged use. It is considered to be safer alternative to traditional Keratin treatments.

• Cetrimonium Chloride: Stops the build of static electricity in hair, which in turn makes hair smoother and easier to manage.

Q: Will the Pura Luxe Protein Smoothing Treatment straighten curly hair?
A: Yes – it will straighten wavy, curly and kinky hair, remove the frizz and leave the hair smooth, soft and shiny.

Q: Can I have Pura Luxe if I have natural/virgin hair?
A: Absolutely – the treatment can be used on all hair types whether it has been coloured or not. Bleached and highlighted hair is also perfectly fine to be treated with Pura Luxe.

Q: When is the best time to colour my hair? Before or after the Pura Luxe Treatment?
A: It is recommended to colour and/or highlight hair any time after the treatment – can even be the same day.

Q: Can I do the Pura Luxe treatment if my hair has been previously chemically straightened?
A: Yes, it can be applied to hair that has been previously straightened and will bond to the hair making it stronger and smooth.

Q: Will swimming in salt or chlorinated water shorten the life span of the treatment?
A: No – unlike traditional Keratin or relaxing treatments, chlorine and salt water will not affect the quality of the Pura Luxe treatment.

Q: How long does the Pura Luxe Smoothing Treatment last?
A: The results typically last up to 6 months. Everyone’s hair is different, some hair is more resistant than others.

Q: How do I care for my Pura Luxe treatment at home
A: We recommend in using a sulfate free shampoo (we love all Davines products that are sulphate free)
